Annual limit on contributions to Pension Plans

Article 52 of Law 11/2020 of 30 December 2021 on the General State Budget for the year 2021 is modified, and with effect from 1 January 2021 and indefinite validity, the reduction limits and thus the maximum annual contributions to pension plans are changed.

The deduction limit for contributions to individual pension plans is lowered from 8.000 to 2.000 euros per year, this limit will be increased by 8.000 euros, provided that the increase comes from company contributions.

Thus, the maximum contribution limit for CaixaBank in the Employment Pension Plan will be 10.000 euros, i.e. the general limit of 2.000 euros and the 8.000 euros increase for company contributions, taking into account both retirement contributions and the risk coverage premium financed by CaixaBank.

8.000 made by the promoter will reduce the annual limit of 2.000 euros of contributions by the participant in any of the Individual Pension Plans or in the CaixaBank Associated Pension Plan (PC2).

If the established annual contribution made by the promoter to our PC30 employment plan exceeds the financial or fiscal limit of €10.000 at any given time, the excess will be contributed by the company to a Segurfon Empresa.
