As a result of the labour agreement signed on 7 July 2021, from 1 January 2022 the system of disability and death cover under the CaixaBank Employment Pension Plan will change. We will soon develop on the website all the changes that this agreement entails, but, in summary, the main change involves replacing an annuity system with a capital system, based on annuities of pensionable salary.

In essence, the system currently guarantees an income in addition to that received by the social security beneficiary in the case of incapacity or, for his or her beneficiary, in the case of death. The new system will mean that, in the event of one of the above-mentioned contingencies, the beneficiary will be entitled to receive a number of annuities of pensionable salary and, in turn, will be able to receive them in the form that best suits him or her (a single payment, an annuity, etc.).
